As a Chief People Officer, I’ve helped early to late stage startups create human-centered organizations that scale and drive business outcomes. I have had the privilege to lead the People, Talent and Workplace functions at amazing companies like Intercom, Affirm, Flipboard and Say Media. I was the first global head of people at all 4 startups, so in addition to helping scale the company, I helped to build the People Function and set the initial People strategy.
In all cases aggressive headcount and revenue growth were front and center. I’ve built people teams from 5 team members to 40 and from 40 team members to 80. From a headcount perspective, I have built recruiting functions that have scaled headcount from 65 to 400 global employees, from 100 to 500 global employees and from 500 to 1000 global employees.
After 24 years of experience in HR and Org Development roles, 12 of which in the top People/HR job, I advise entrepreneurs and People/HR leaders on how to grow and scale, as well as entrepreneurs in the HR/People space on product and go-to-market strategy.
